Pattern Description:

Bring the outdoors inside with this clever set of interesting insects!
This fun and easy set of bugs will have you loving bugs inside the house as well as out!

Flutter by Butterfly is by far my most popular insect - and can be found listed separately! It has been used for making baby mobiles as well!

If you are looking for just a ladybug or caterpillar let me know and I will list them separately for you as well. They are $2.50 each if purchased separately.
There is also the Ladybug Stackers pattern as well which has 3 different sized ladybugs that stack on top of each other :)

There is no gauge given however the tighter your stitches, the less stuffing will show through. If you can see air between your stitches, use a smaller hook.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Flitter by Butterfly - 9" wide, 5" high when made with worsted weight yarn
  • Caterpillar Inchworm - 7 1/2" long when made with worsted weight yarn
  • Ladybug Ladybird - 3" tall, 4" long when made with worsted weight yarn


  • Yarn amounts vary for each insect. No more than 1 1/2 oz of yarn per color was used

You Will Also Need:

  • polyfill/fluff
  • row counter
  • Size G hook
  • stitch/row markers
  • 9mm safety eyes for butterfly & caterpillar
  • 12mm cat eyes for ladybug
