027 Moose Amigurumi Pertseva (Reindeer)

Basic Skills Necessary:
Magic ring Crochet in rounds, Single crochet, Increasing, Decreasing, Slip stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
Finished size approx. 12 cm (5 inches) high if you used 1.3 mm hook.
Sand-colored velour yarn. Weight - Lace / 2 ply (Yardage - 602 yards (550 meters), unit weight - 100 grams (3.53 ounces)
Oddments of the same weight dark brown yarn - for hoofs.
Oddments of beige or white yarn - to work up antlers.
2 black beads for the pupils (3 mm)
Hook matching the yarn. I used 1.3 mm (UK steel - 5 1/2, US steel - 10) Please note that you should use much thinner hook than stated at the yarn label.
Stuffing: hollofiber or padding polyester
Copper wire for the frame (you should be able to bend it with hands but it shall keep the form). Consumption depends on the yarn weight and the gauge. I used 130 cm (52 inches) of wire 2 mm thickness.
Sewing thread of matching colors for sewing small details.
Tapestry needle for tightening.
Plaster adhesive-backed fabric tape 1-1.5 cm wide to work up the wire cuts. (The tape you use to cover wounds (first aid)).
6 sewing pins to secure nostrils on the muzzle.
Super glue to glue yarn to the wire
For eyes (options)
Oddments of white yarn or
2 felt balls 7-8 mm diameter, if you have felting skills or - 2 7-8 mm diameter white beads. You can make (or select beads) of different size for eyes, for example one - 7 mm, another - 9 mm.
Paint for tinting (you can use: brown eye shadow, acrylic paint for fabric, pastel, oil-base paint).
