My artistic side was sparked by Mrs. L., my kindergarten teacher who loathed children. During art hour, I would draw a giant three-headed dog chomping on an adult female that looked surprisingly like Mrs. L.
Born in the Big Apple, drama queened at High School of Performing Arts ("what do you think a tree is feeling?"), exercised left side of brain at CCNY and the New School. I guesstimate my personality to be a combo of Dr. House, Nurse Jackie and The Nanny.
I live in Scottsdale - home of the cuddly scorpion. Freelance writing, crafting, instructing, painting and designing (Annie's Attic, Crafts Magazine, Woman's Day and other periodicals) keeps me out of trouble. I have had way too much fun sharing fake food crafting techniques on Phoenix Channel 12 with the wonderful Kathy Cano-Murillo (Crafty Chica)and the Arizona Republic.

Pattern is rated Intermediate beginner who can crochet in the round and read patterns. Knowledge of single, double and front post double crochet stitches is required. I provide visual link to front post double stitch which is quite easy to work.
Peyton is an adorable poncho with awesome texture and personality. Top of neck has an attractive natural curl. Pop with a fun button or embellishment.
Optional instructions are given for ages 2-3 years.
You will need sizes J and K crochet hooks and 1 ball of Bernat Satin worsted weight acrylic yarn.
Toddler sizing requires two balls of yarn. You may substitute other soft worsted yarns. However, I do not recommend Caron Simply Soft because fibers are too thin. Not all worsted weights are alike.
