Pattern Description:

This pattern was designed for the 2nd son of a dear friend of mine in the Tacoma, WA area. Although the pattern is somewhat open-weaved, it's also very snug and cozy.

Trevor's blanket is a fast and fun pattern to work up with an optional last row. Without it, it could be considered more masculine and with it, the pattern has a lacy look to it fit for a little girl. Yet, either way works for boys or girls.

The only advanced stitch is the FPDC and BPDC, but if you're ambitious and aren't afraid of you can easily find tutorials on how to do these stitches. Other than that, I'd even recommend this pattern for a beginner.

Trevor's baby blanket is a bit larger than the average baby blanket. It's large enough to be a good cover-up for both baby and mom while nursing. And, Trevor's blanket can grow with baby to be a nice sized lap ghan when they're an adult.

But, gauge is unimportant in this pattern

  • I used the pounder skeins but not all was used.

Suggested yarn:

32 ounces of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Red Heart, but Caron Simply Soft would be wonderful too.

Solid or multi colored
