Pattern Description:

Need to make an inexspensive Baby Shower gift? If you do, this is the project for you.

Buy any size, color or style of receiving blanket. If you DO NOT know how to blanket stitch the edge to anchor your scs, buy a blanket with a finished edge that you can use to anchor your scs.

Then, it is a piece of cake from there on.

I just LOVE the ruffle that appears with such simple double crochets.

Then, for fun, use the blanket to wrap another gift. It will suprise the momma hen she opens the gift and finds this wonderful, handmade edging on the blanket.

I know it will become the favorite blanket they use with their baby.

I always like to give babies a handmade gift . . . AND . . . I like to wrap their gifts up in receiving blankets.

This is a combination of the two . . . a receiving blanket with a handmade edging.

Now, receiving blankets aren't the only place this edging could be used. I can see it on sheets, pillowcases, table cloths, runners, etc, etc, etc.

The edging is attached to the blanket with a crocheted foundation round . . not the normal button hole stitch. This makes it easier for crocheters . . . now they don't need to learn the buttonhole stitch for edgings.

100% of the purchase price for the pattern goes to no-kill animal shelters in Western New York or Indiana.

The "Fur~Babies" and I thank you for your purchase.
