Basic Skills Necessary:

  • chain stitch
  • single crochet
  • double crochet
  • slip stitch

Pattern Description:

This will make a perfect baby shower gift! You can add anything you want to it to turn it into a character hooded towel.


Gauge: 8 hdc and 6 rows = 4" square

To obtain gauge use I hook and worsted weight yarn. I crochet very tightly to you might need to go down a size or 2 to match my gauge.

Ch to a little over 4 inches, hdc in 2nd ch from the hk and hdc across. *ch 1 turn, hdc across* repeat until a little over 4 inches high.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Towel Base: 22" x 30"


  • 820 yards of cotton yarn
  • H hook

  • Scissors
  • Yarn Needle

Suggested yarn:

820 yards of Worsted weight

Cotton Yarn
