Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Half double crochet (hdc)
  • Double Crochet (dc)
  • Single crochet (sc)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)
  • Joining colors

Pattern Description:

Great photo prop :)
This cocoon is made shorter to look like the baby is emerging out of it, if you wish to make it longer simply add a few more rounds to the cocoon pattern. You will need to know how to change colors. The cocoon antennas are made from fuzzy brown pipe cleaners. I hope you enjoy


In pattern: Rounds 1-3 equal 4 3/4" in diameter

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 9" across front of pouch


  • Medium Yarn (4)
  • Cocoon - 2 colors of green and 1 blue
  • Hat - Red, bit of blue, bit of black and bit of yellow
  • US P / 10 mm crochet hook
  • US I-9 / 5.50 mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry Needle (for weaving in ends)
  • Pipe cleaners for antenna
