Pattern Description:
Do you love to read? Use up your scrap thread to make these clever bookmarks. There are five different borders so each bookmark can have a different look. Instructions and graphs are included to make the "love to read" and "i love books" bookmarks, in addition to personalizing your own 4- or 6-position bookmark.
The pattern uses a modified filet stitch: using 2 stitches per square instead of the typical 3 per square. Be sure to read the definitions for the blocks and spaces.
This pattern is written in U.S. terms.
Gauge:
16 dc = 2"
7 rows = 2"
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 3" to 3-1/4" wide x 11-3/4" to 12" long (depending on border)
Materials:
- Crochet cotton, size 10, in desired colors
- Size 9 (1.40 mm) steel crochet hook

- Small amounts of satin ribbon, if desired.

I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs.
