Pattern Description:

Such an adorably epic costume or photo prop. The cape will fit up to age 3, and makes for an excellent dress-up addition.

Pattern includes easy to read, step-by-step directions on how to make the hat (with specially designed ears), the cape (that wraps around the neck), and the bat symbol logo.

With J hook and worsted weight yarn, Ch 21

ROW 1: Sc in second ch from hook and all the way across (20)
ROW 2: Ch 2, turn. Dc in each stitch across (20)
ROW 3: Ch 3, turn. Trc in each stitch across (20)
ROW 4: Ch 2, turn. Dc in each stitch across (20)
ROW 5: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across (20). Finish off.

Swatch should measure 8" X 3"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Bat Symbol Logo - 5" X 3"
  • Cape Length - 16"
  • Hat - 15" circumferance


  • 1 sheet of felt (same as main color)
  • 1 Skein of contrasting color (yellow/grey/pink)
  • 1 Skein of main color (black/blue)
  • Tracing paper for bat logo template

You Will Also Need:

  • Something for closure on cape's neck strap (buttons/velcro/magnets)
  • J sized Crochet Hook
  • G sized Crochet Hook
