I have loved knitting from the first time I cast on. From working through a maze of cables, to balancing the thin stitches of fine lace, I never tire of the time spent in this medium. I have loved knitting from the first time I cast on. From working through a maze of cables, to balancing the thin stitches of fine lace, I never tire of the time spent in this medium. It challenges me the most. Then, I fell in love with crocheted lace! A love affair that began my designing career. Though I love playing with texture in knitting, it is in lace crochet that I am the most fluent. I easily think in crochet. When I started designing in 1986, I packed away all my patterns. I did not want any direct influence, only what was inside me -- draw upon my experiences. Publishers liked what they saw and kept me busy for 14 years. Publishing deadlines and life did not mix well, so I eased out of freelance work for a while. The Internet opened up a whole new way of connecting with other stitchers. Over the past 10 years I launched a website, or three, and began exploring the world of self-publishing. To date, I have raised my family and my time is my own to once again delve into creative expression. I am back to work on my designs and hope to have more to show in the coming weeks. I am thrilled to meet you all and be here on Craftsy!
