As the mother of 2 young boys, I usually have my hands full. Between carrying in the kids and groceries and everything else, I am constantly misplacing my car keys. So I made this little basket to keep on the table by the door, so that I can simply drop my keys in without dropping the kids or anything else. It is large enough to hold several sets of keys or sunglasses or anything else I need to find in a hurry on our way out the door. This basket is fun and easy to make, and I had mine done in barely over an hour. The simple stitch and color work make for a beautiful pattern on both the right side and wrong side of the basket. Such a fast project that keeps everything in one place, so even if you are running late finding your car keys won't be a problem again!

My granny taught me the basics of crochet when I was 5 & I have learned the rest on my own, mostly through books. I also taught myself how to knit a few years ago. And I taught a crochet class for awhile until I had my youngest son. I would love to open my own yarn store someday, as our closet one is about 50 miles away. I have been a happy yarn crafter for over 20 years! :)
