  • This pattern is for all crochet lovers who are acquainted with the basics of crochet. This easy to follow pattern (10 pages) is written for one size. It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places

Pattern Description:

Recently I have got acquainted with completely new crochet technique for me - Overlay Crochet. And I fell in love with it! I really enjoy creating mandalas. when I crochet them I get a feeling as if I am actually drawing: round after round, layer after layer. And with different color combinations the result is always unpredictable :)

Gauge:

Gauge is not important but the coaster should stay flat.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The size of finished coaster depends on the yarn and hook you use. My coaster is approx. 18,5 cm (7 1/2 inches) large with a center ring (teapot bottom size) approx. 9 cm (3 1/2 inches).

Materials:

  • You will need yarn leftovers of five colors (I used yarn "Jeans" by Yarnart 55% cotton, 45% acrylic (50g/1,75 oz., 160m/146 yds.), steel crochet hook which will give you acceptable gauge (I used US 3 hook/ 3 mm), scissors and tapestry needle to weave in ends.

Suggested yarn:

100 yards of Sport weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Cotton or mix yarn. In fact you can use any yarn of similar weight for this project,

Colorway:

You can use any colors you like!

A nice red-haired woman Raisa taught me to crochet in a ...
