Pattern Description:

This pattern will guide you to crochet this lovely tea cosy as shown on picture. Isn't this just the perfect gift for a tea lover or to spruce up your breakfast- or coffee table !
A cosy like this will keep your tea hot for a long time.

This cover is made from soft acrylic yarn (8 ply / dk) and crochethook G (4 mm). Wool or cotton will be suitable too.

There will be an opening under the handle to insert your teapot easily, with a buttonclosure. The cover will be placed over the teapot after pouring in your favourite tea.

The pattern is suitable for any standard model teapot, 1.1 liter, circumference appr. 40 cm (15.75"), measured around the widest part of the pot, excl. the spout and handle.

This pattern is my own original design and is written in english, in US terminology.

Used stitches : chain, turning chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet

Gauge (approx.) : 10 single crochet = 2" (5 cm)

Materials:

  • cotton, wool or acrylic yarn suitable for crochet hook G (4 mm)
