Mock Broomstick Hairpin Lace Afghan

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You will need to know how to do basic Hairpin Lace strips. We do not cover in this pattern how to crochet the base strips. There are many tutorials out on the internet on how to do this already, You will also need to know how to do Chain, Slip, and Single Crochet stitches as well.

Pattern Description:

If you love Broomstick Lace then you'll LOVE this afghan pattern!

We've designed this pattern with photos this time to make following the pattern a little easier since Hairpin Lace is a bit different to Standard Crochet. This pattern is so easy to follow too! As long as you know how to crochet the base Hairpin Lace strips you can easily breeze through this pattern! This afghan is fully reversible as well!

Our sample uses Red Heart Luster Sheen #2 Fine Yarns. Give this afghan a fast wash and dry in your washer and dryer and this afghan has a wonderful drape and softness to it that is wonderful!

We truly loved designing this one and we hope you love crocheting it just as much! The Venetian Lace trim we've added to this afghan just makes the entire ensemble pop beautifully!
