Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to ch, sc, and hdc.
  • Long hdc is explained in the instructions.

Pattern Description:

This is a great little afghan for some extra warmth on a cold day! It even has a double border, so the blue border is on the predominantly blue side and the brown border is on the predominantly brown side.

This pattern is not as complicated as it looks! The reversible design was achieved by alternating rows of brown and light blue, using a combination of sc and long hdc which are worked into the previous row. The long hdc are worked with one color on odd rows and the contrasting color on even rows creating the reversible effect.

The ends of the rows are woven in so a border can be added (be sure to weave in the ends of each row as you are working to save time).

A design chart is included with the pattern. The pattern repeat and multiples are also provided to easily change the size of the lapghan if desired.

This pattern is written in U.S. terms.

I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go ...
