Who says Christmas trees can't blossom? These thread crochet flower ornaments are lovely on walls or in windows, and perfect for Christmas decorating. (I use a lot of these on my own tree: they're soft, bright, lightweight... and they don't shatter, which is a wonderful thing in a house with small children and an ornament-loving cat!) Applique them to hats or home accessories, make them into garlands, give them as gifts.... the possibilities are endless.

I'm a mechanical engineer by training, a crochet designer by current occupation, and author of three books of crochet patterns. I like to make things and draw things, and I especially love to crochet: using stitches to create larger shapes is just like engineering -- but with thread! I've always been fascinated with geometric patterns, and I enjoy being outside, so designs from geometry and nature make frequent appearances in my pieces. (I've found that crochet lends itself to those types of designs, which is another reason I like it so much.)View all patterns by designer (5) »
