Pattern Description:

The Cotton Candy Baby Afghan contains simple stitches including single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc) and treble/triple crochet (tc) along with chaining and put together in eye-catching detail to make this Baby Blanket stand out in a crowd.
This 12 Pointed Star Baby Afghan can be made with any worsted weight yarn or cotton in a single weekend for your next baby shower or birthday. (It actually took me only about 8 hours to complete this particular model.) A substitution in colors or even using a variegated yarn will create a one of a kind gift that you'll be proud to give and the Mom-to-Be will treasure for years to come.

While gauge is only moderately critical on this project. To achieve the dimensions described, 6 stitches and 6 rows = 2 inches in single crochet
You should select a hook appropriately sized for your yarn if different from recommended materials of pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approx 43' diameter (point to point)

  • 925 Yards (approximately 18 oz) of Red Heart(r) WW 4-Ply Yarn in 0724 Baby Pink
  • Size US J/9-5.50mm crochet hook
  • Yarn Needle for Weaving in Loose Ends
