Pattern Description:

Hand crocheted mug cozies add some personality to your cup, protect your hands, and add a layer of insulation to keep your beverage warm. Plus, they give you a chance to show off your fancy crochet skills at the office, school, or wherever you drink your coffee! They even cover the bottom of the cup, so they act as a coaster, too! Each cozy fastens through the handle of your mug with a button of your choice.

This cozy will fit common-sized coffee cups with straight sides - the mug shown in the photo is about 3.5 inches tall with a 3 inch diameter (9 cm tall/ 8 cm diameter).

Materials:

For this project you will need about 50 grams of Aran 10ply yarn, like the red heart, TLC, or Vanna's Choice yarns that are readily available at most craft stores. You will also need a size H/8 5.0 mm crochet hook, a yarn needle, and a button of your choice.
