Intermediate
The versatile design of this filet crochet-type valance can be made in any color to suite your decor. Tie on your favorite decorative buttons with 1/8" wide satin ribbon to complete the effect.
If you love thread crochet, this is a great project for the intermediate crocheter. The pattern uses dc2tog stitches in the filled blocks; it also uses diagonal blocks for the medium shade appearance - all are defined in the instructions. The valance is worked from the top down. A graph is also provided for reference.
This pattern is written in U.S. terms.

I have always loved crafting!
My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs.
I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
