Pattern Description:

I needed a cute gift for my cousin's housewarming. But all I really had was yarn scraps that didn't match very well. I wanted to make something more than just tawashis and scrubbies though, so I came up with this.

She adapts to all different styles, and can be made out of pieces to small for anything else.

Gauge:

E-4/ 3.5 MM Hook for Head and hands. Gauge for E hook 8 rows of 9 sc = 2" x 2"
F-5/ 3.75 MM Hook for Cuffs and sleeves. Gauge on F hook 10 rows of 10 SC = 2" x 2"
H-8/ 5.00 MM Hook for Top of Jacket and top of Body. Gauge on H hook 8 rows of 8 SC = 2" x 2"
K-10.5/ 6.5 MM Hook for bottom of Skirt and jacket
Gauge on K Hook = 1 strand 8 DC x 4 rows = 2"x 2"
Gauge on K Hook = 2 strands 6 DC x 3 rows = 2" x 2"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • As long as you need it to be.

Materials:

  • This project was made entirely from my yarn scraps bin
  • D-3/ 3.0 MM Hook
  • E-4/ 3.5 MM Hook
  • F-5/ 3.75 MM Hook
  • H-8/ 5.00 MM Hook
  • K-10.5/ 6.5 MM Hook
  • Plastic grocery bag cut into 1/2 inch plarn (optional)
  • You can make the bag she holds out of regular yarn but it isn't nearly as cute!
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Small amount of Polyester stuffing
  • 9 to 12 oz of various yarn scraps, however three of your scraps should weigh right at 2 ounces

Suggested yarn:

9 ounces of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Yarn scraps, mostly Red Heart
