I absolutely love how this blanket turned out. Im sure this blanket will be a hit with new mothers everywhere. Everyone loves pineapples! This project is not for a beginner to crochet. I would classify it as more of an Intermediate skill level due to the fact that this project requires concentration when working the rounds with the writing. The instructions for the pineapple are not the usual instructions for a pineapple square. All rounds begin in a corner making no seam running up the side of the square. This blanket can be made as large as you want before working the final rounds. You can use either a "J or a "K hook Instructions are in the pattern how to make the blanket larger. You can use a lighter weight baby yarn also but you will need to follow these instructions to make the blanket larger before beginning the final rounds.
