Pattern Description:

Keep the feel of innocence with this tie at the shoulders girls' tank. Worked as two bodices, completed in the round and adorned with ribbon, every little girl will enjoy this country charm.

This design came to me as a time of reminiscing, when I was a kid, my mom use to make me sundresses that were gathered at the bodice and had ribbon straps. This top is my remembering of those summer days while updating it to a shirt, because it works better for climbing trees.


Gauge: 14 st (alt dc and sc)/12.5 rows =4"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size: Child's 4 (6, 8, 10) Finished Size: Chest circumference: 23.5" (25.5", 27", 28.5"); Top of bodice to hem: 13"(14", 16", 18")


  • Size I-9 (5.5mm)hook or hook needed for gauge
  • 1 (1, 2, 2) skeins Lisa Souza Hardtwist, sport weight, superwash merino yarn (500yds/5.3 oz; 457m/5.33oz) sample color: Petroglyph (
  • Tapestry needle

You Will Also Need:

  • 5' (60"/150cm) 5/8" (15mm) ribbon, sample color: gold
