Pattern Description:

This is a vintage-looking cardigan sweater for baby with a duck applique. I made this sweater with bamboo yarn, and it is so soft! The shell stitch is fun to crochet, too.

3 shells = 2 inches; 6 shell rows = 2 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Infant/toddler sizes: 12 months (18 months, 24 months)
  • Cardigan chest circumference: approximately 22 inches
  • Length from neck to hem: approximately 8 (8 1/2, 9) inches
  • Sleeve length: approximately 7 1/2 (8, 8 1/2) inches

Materials:

  • Naturally Caron Spa bamboo blend lightweight yarn (3 oz/251 yds/85g per skein): 2 (2, 3) skeins #0005 Ocean Spray, 1 skein #0007 Naturally
  • Size F/5/3.75mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Sewing needle

You Will Also Need:

  • Black and orange sewing thread
  • 3 cream 9/16-inch buttons
  • 1 black 1/4-inch button
  • 1/4-inch-wide orange satin ribbon: 6 inches
