Pattern Description:

The Little Granny Vest is a versatile, simple pattern that is quick & easy to make.
The style is suitable for both girls and boys and all-in-one, top-down constructions means there is no seaming or sewing up to finish the garment :-)
The Little Granny Vest uses very little yarn, making it an excellent stash buster & perfect for a last minute gift :-)
The simple design is great for experimenting with stripes or hand-dyed yarns and works beautifully made in either wool or cotton yarn :-)
This pattern includes sizes Newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months & 18 months and is also available as part of an e-book called the Little Vests Collection.
This pattern uses between 90m and 175m of yarn, depending on what size vest you make :-)


18 stitches & 4 Rows = 10cm (4")

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn, 3m, 6m, 9m, 12m, 18m


  • 3.75mm crochet hook
  • 90m - 190m DK yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle for sewing in yarn ends
