  • working in to the horizontal bar

Pattern Description:

This cosy sweater is top down construction, the sleeves are joined as you go as is the cowl, there is minimal seaming along the sides. The cowl is large enough to use has a hood and has a soft, warm feel.

The model in purple is 5ft 2" and a size XL
The model in red is 5ft 8" and a size M

This design uses SC/DC, HDC/HTR, Increases, Decreases, working in to the horizontal bar of a HDC/HTR, and 3 SC/DC together (tutorials available on my blog)

Yarn requirements by size, Sizes correspond to Craft Yarn Council sizes
XS 1200 m
S 1360 m
M 1500 m
L 1600 m
XL 1700 m
2XL 1780 m
3XL 1850 m


13 stitches and 15 rows = 4 inches in SC/DC

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • S - 3XL in accordance with craft yarn council guidelines


  • Aran yarn 1200 m - 1850 m
  • 6mm hook
  • darning needle
