This is a pattern for a sweet summery cardigan and cap for baby, with floral appliques. Very pretty and feminine!

Gauge:

With size D hook and size 3 cotton: 6 sc = 1 inch; 6 sc rows or rnds = 1 inch With size B hook and size 8 cotton: 9 scs = 1 inch; 10 sc rows or rnds = 1 inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Infant/toddler sizes: 12 months (18 months, 24 months)
  • Cardigan chest circumference: 22 (23 1/3, 24) inches
  • Cap circumference: 16-18 inches (stretches to fit all 3 sizes)

Materials:

  • DMC Size 3 Senso cotton crochet thread (1.75 oz/150 yds/50g per ball):
  • Sizes B/1/2.25mm and D/3/3.25mm crochet hooks or sizes needed to obtain gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Sewing needle
  • DMC Size 8 perle cotton (87 yds/80m per ball): 1 ball #0602 Medium Cranberry, 1 (2, 2) ball(s) #0605 Very Light Cranberry (available online at Herrschnerrs.com)

You Will Also Need:

  • White sewing thread
  • 4mm pearl beads: 16 (12 for cardigan, 4 for cap)
  • 2mm pearl beads: 2 (for cap)
  • 3 pink 5/8-inch buttons
