Spring/summer girls crochet top 176
My first spring/summer top pattern for the girls!, I like to get them out of pink and into other colours!. Yellow seems to be a favorite at the moment so I decided to go with it, it is such happy colour!. This is a fitted crochet top that will look lovely with a skirt or super cool and relax with leggings!. Fairy easy to do as well!
Sizes fully explained:
3-6m, 6-9m, 1y, 2y, 3y, 4y, 5y
Patons Shadow DK in yellow for the 3 smallest sizes approx. 218 yards (2 balls), years 1 - 3 approx. 218 yards (3 balls), years 4 and 5 approx. 436 yards (4 balls). I would like to add that I have been generous with the amount you will need, no one enjoys finding out that you need more yarn to finished your project!.
For the collar I used Rowan Lenpur linen in purple, and Debbie Bliss cotton DK, you will need only one ball of two different tones of pink. For the smallest sizes you will need only 60 yards (25g half a ball) of the purple colour, the yellow on the collar is included on the amounts given. As always you can use any DK weight yarn.
Crochet hook G (4mm)
Tapestry or yarn needle and sewing needle and sewing yellow thread (this is optional, to sew both parts together it makes a much neater seam)

My name is Luz Mendoza and I am originally from Spain, from the beautiful Island of Tenerife, I moved to the UK over 17 years ago and live in London with my better half a wonderful english man and my three children, a boy and identical twin girls. I crochet, knit, sew, cook, bake and eat, laugh, play, hug, kiss… basically I am in love with life!
I have decided to write the crochet patterns that are mostly inspired by my kids, sometimes it is what I think they need or like and sometimes it is just a plain request!, ‘mummy can you make me a…’ the best part is to see their faces when I gave them something that I have made, ‘mummy, you made it for me?’, I love it!, I hope you enjoy my patterns to. Happy Crocheting!
