Pattern Description:
This pattern is for a worsted weight version of my popular Triceratops Bomber Hat (bulky weight) that was featured in Inc. Magazine. It is perfect for everyday, but also makes a great photo prop or costume. I designed this hat to be seamless so it looks great from all angles. The earflaps are designed to look like legs so that the whole hat looks like a triceratops.
Gauge:
4 sts = 1 inch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 0-3 Months
- 3-6 Months
- 6-12 Months
- Toddler (1-2 years)
- Child (3-8 years)
- Teen/Adult (9 & up)
Materials:
- #4 Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Vannaʼs Choice), main color approximately 50 (80, 110, 150, 190, 230) yards, 20 yards of trim color
- #4 Worsted Yarn, 12 yards of tan for the horns and 7 yards of white for the eyes
- US G Hook
- US F Hook (or smaller) for eyes and horns
- Two Shiny Black Shank Buttons for Eyes (1/2-9/16")
- Stitch Marker
- Needle and thread to sew eyes
- Yarn needle for sewing in yarn ends
