The beads are strung onto the working yarn before beginning to stitch, then are crocheted into the piece as you go.
The tote is first worked flat and the front and back pieces are made by following a color chart for color changes and bead placement.
The bear's head is stitched into the design by changing colors (following the color chart), then the ears, muzzle, eyes and nose are stitched on to complete the design.
The handle is worked last by stitching in the round around the top edge of the tote.

My name is Doni, and I live in Indiana with my wonderful husband and 4 adorable (and sometimes bratty) cats :) I caught the crafting bug early, and love to crochet, knit, quilt, sew, cross stitch, embroider, and papercraft just to name a few :) But my biggest passion is crocheting which I've been doing since my Grandma taught me when I was 8 years old.
