Pattern Description:
I'm always on the lookout for vintage cloches and am invariably disappointed when they're too small to fit my head. This crocheted version gives the requisite sleek look and the single crochet stitch lends necessary structure, keeping the iconic cloche shape even as it stretches to fit the wearer's head. A cluster of buttons finishes off the vintage look.
Gauge:
4" = 14 sts and 12 rounds in Single Crochet
Note: yarns shown usually knit at 16 sts to 4" in Stocking Stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- child(adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult extra large)
- Circumference: 17"(19", 20.5", 22.25", 24")
Materials:
- 140(160, 190, 210, 240) yards aran weight yarn
- Size G (4mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- removable stitch markers
- yarn needle
You Will Also Need:
- 2 buttons 0.75" in diameter
- 1 button 1" in diameter
- sewing needle and thread in color similar to yarn
