I really wanted a good diaper cover pattern that was dense enough to really cover the diaper (no color or labels peeking through the holes too much). Everything I tried ended up to chunky or stiff, so I made my own! I am really happy with the nice drape yet good coverage this pattern stitch creates. It is fastened with buttons on the inside of the flaps so they can be adjusted just like the tabs on a regular diaper. The top or back can be folded down to accommodate smaller babies.
(The stitch in this pattern matches the Dainty Scalloped Hat pattern, making it a perfect set)

My kids were in a production of The Nutcracker one year and had long rehearsals. Parents were required to stay and wait for them. I needed something to do while I waited so I bought some yarn and a few hooks, watched some YouTube videos and printed out a few how-to tutorials from the Internet. My OBSESSION was born! The rest is history! Everything I know about crocheting I taught myself. It is how I relax and de-stress. Creating new patterns and seeing the finished product is a much needed creative outlet for me.
