About the designer

Both my grandmothers taught me how to crochet when I was a child. In the fall of 2010, I got involved with crocheting again and it has quickly become a passion. I love creating patterns!

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • magic ring
  • single crochet
  • double crochet
  • slip stitch

Pattern Description:

This is a PDF crochet pattern for a baby cocoon that coordinates perfectly with my Savannah Cloche pattern (hat pattern available separately). Two versions are included in the pattern, for a "lacy" more open stitch, or a "non-lacy" stitch with less holes.

All of my patterns are written using Standard U.S. Crochet Terminology.


15 stitches and 7 rows in double crochet = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-3 months: 11-12" width, 18-20" length


  • 7 oz worsted weight yarn
  • "J" (6 mm) crochet hook
