The "Raquel Lace and Shell Cowl" can be worn 2 ways. The first photo shows it drapped over, loose fitting, and would be a perfect combination with a long sleeve black dress, or blouse, with short length pearls.
The second way it can be worn (included) is a botton strap that would be great combination with a short sleeved white shirt, jeans, and wedges that match the button. Great for a night out in the town with some of your best friends.

I began crocheting when I was 8 years old. My mom taught me the basic chain, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. I remember sitting on the school bus with my best friend, Irina crocheting with this teal and purple yarn. I never really did anything with the skill, until recently before the birth of my 2nd child in 2011. I've made several different blankets and hats for friends and family, using the same granny square stitch style, but never expanded my knowledge beyond that. After completing a HUGE blanket for my 2nd son I was so pleased with the texture, size, and overall the way it came out. I began making more hats and more blankets, just for fun, and posted them on Facebook to share with my family in Michigan. People began commenting how much they wanted my items, so after a while I desided to sell my items. After learning so many different styles, patterns, and how many things are beyond doillies and kleenex box covers (that my mom used to make) I desided "It's time to make my own patterns."
I am loving the overwhelming response from not only family and friends, but customers and the crafting community! I've never met such a large group of people who are willing to help their own fellow crocheter or crafter a like! It's been such an amazing journey in such a short amount of time... and I LOVE IT!!!!
I hope you enjoy my patterns and projects as much as I enjoyed making them for you.
