Please note: this only looks stretched because I put the child size on the mannequin. I didn't have an adult beanie to use at the time i took the photo. The adult size will not be stretched like this.
My sister and I created this pattern when trying to teach people how to make a beanie. Most beanie patterns had too much complicated counting of stitches or didn't fit snugly on the head.
After trial and error we ca,me up with this pattern. In my humble opinion this is probably the easiest basic beanie pattern available. Requiring only basic beginner crochet stitches it is ideal for all crochet levels.
Use only one color or change colors at each round to make a horizontal stripped beanie. Sizes can be made from Infant (f Hook) to adult man (K hook with chunky yarn).
