Pattern Description:

Phosphene is the medical term for "seeing stars" which is what I think of when I see these circular motifs linked together with little star shapes, in between. While a triangular layout is indicated in this pattern, modular designs can be assembled in any number of configurations, from cowl, to stole, to blanket or even a table runner, you are only limited by the amount of yarn you have and the type of yarn and hook size you choose.
Motifs are charted and written out, using standard American crochet terminology.

One motif is approximately 7" / 18 cm after blocking

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approximately 63" / 160 cm wingspan, 35" / 89 cm depth after blocking

  • 1250 yd / 1143 m of lace weight yarn

  • US C / 2.75 mm crochet hook
  • tapestry needle
  • blocking supplies

1250 yards of Lace weight
