Lovely, stretchy headbands, which are very comfortable to wear! They fit nicely around your head and are very easy to slip on and off.
The pattern contains separate sets of instructions for making a large peony, a small peony, a wide headband and a three-strand headband to create various headband options as pictured. The sizes included (baby, toddler, child, adult) are based on average head measurements, but you can make these headbands in any size you like.
I was very tempted to list this pattern difficulty as "easy", as the peonies and the three-strand headbands are pretty easy to make. The only reason I also list is as "intermediate" is that you need to be fairly comfortable with slip stitch crochet to work the wide headbands. Having said that, there is no reason why you should not try this project as a starting point for your slip stitch crochet journey. And I promise, once you get the hang of it, you will be in love with this stitch! The fabric it creates is so amazingly stretchy and squishy - I just can't get enough of it!
The pattern is written using American crochet terms. A US/UK crochet terms conversion chart is also provided. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if anything is not quite clear. I will be more than happy to help and will appreciate your feedback.
