It uses worsted medium weight yarn and a H8/5.00mm crochet hook.

It is a combination of single crochet and double crochet. Large print and pictures. As long as you have basic crochet skills, I think you will be surprised at how easily this works up.

Hat Sizes
Newborn - 12" (fits up to 13.5")
0-6 mos. - 14" (fits up to 15.5")
6-12 mos.- 16" (fits up to 17.5")
Toddler - 18" (fits up to 19.5")

Gauge:

With H/8 hook, 16sc and 16 rows = 4 inches

Pattern comes with four sizes

Materials:

Red Heart Super Saver worsted medium weight yarn in brown, 7 oz,
Crochet Hook Size H/8 (5.00 mm)
2 - 3/4" brown buttons for eyes
Small amount of cream and orange for eyes and beak.
