Here is my open stitch newsboy cap crochet pattern. This fabulous cap features a simple open stitch pattern which starts right at the crown, a wide band with brim and is finished with a pretty flower. Perfect hat for all seasons!

Gauge:

Sc worked over 8 stitches and 8 rows measures 2 inches square using crochet hook 4.0mm (US G)

Baby 1-3 mths 14"
Baby 3-6 mths 15"
Baby 6-9 mths 16"
Baby 9-12 mths 17"
Toddler 1-3 yrs 18"
Kid 4-10 yrs 19"

Materials:

Crochet Hooks 5.5mm (US I), 4.0mm (US G) and 3.5mm (US E)
Worsted Weight Yarn

I just love this pattern!! I never would have thought to change hook sizes to create such a neat pattern! And you made making the 3 layer flower so easy, I couldn't have done it without your clear instructions. :)
