6 stitches and 6 rounds = 4" [10cm]
The instructions for Rounds 5 - 15 state: "Work even in the Basic Pattern." What do you mean by "even"? Even rows? I'm sure this sounds dumb as dirt, but I'm not getting it. Please help. :)
I thought there was a knitting pattern for this hat...I do not crochet and would like to knit this hat...please help
I began this hat with a Susan Bates N hook and thought gauge was off, hat was very, very small, much tighter than picture. Tried loosening tension, but not much improvement. Ripped it all back and went on line to check hook size alternatives to achieve correct gauge. I had a US N -13 is 9mm and next size was US P-15 is 10mm. Wrote to craftsy and they advise me: "it appears that depending on the reference point an N hook can be either an N13 - 9mm or an N/P15- 10mm. The Crafty Yarn Council of America is trying to standardize crochet hook, knitting needle and yarn sizes. For needles and hooks, they recommend looking at the metric size for a more standard size range. Here is a link to their chart:http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/hooks.html "
