Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You already know how to make basic crochet stitches
  • You are confident working into a foundation chain

Pattern Description:

Call me Ishmael? I'd rather you didn't, though you may well be calling yourself brilliant after completing this mid-length Mobius scarf. The pattern's only real "trick" is the half-twist of the foundation chain during the set-up row, making for a project that's just the thing to accompany you on your next sea-faring adventure.

Just right for the adventurous beginner.


22 sts and 26 rows = 4" in seed stitch


  • Under 100 g of a special fingering-weight yarn
  • F-5/3.75 mm crochet hook

  • Lockable stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
