I can't view the pattern. The words.
I love this pattern. I made a scarf and baby blanket with this pattern.
I'm so glad you enjoy it! Thank you for sharing your projects, they are lovely.
I'm new (again) at this and wanted to make this scarf because I love the texture of it at it looks simple enough. so my question is, are we chaining 19 st turning and then starting with row 1, there is no foundation 2nd row as I've been watching on Youtube . Are the ends straight across or uneven . I guess I don't understand CH a multiple of 3, plus 4 . Thank you
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Your starting chain can be as long as you want, as long as you can divide that number by three, and then you add 4 for your turning chain. So with the chain 19 example, you chain 15 for your scarf width, then chain an additional 4 for your turning chain. When I wrote this I didn't count the chain as a row. So you will work the number of chains desired using the multiples of 3 plus your 4 chains for turning, then turn and work row one.The rows will look uneven at first because the chain 3 when you turn your work is creating a scalloped edge. Thank you! I'm going to give it a go. I've been looking at photos and comments people have submitted here and on Ravelry . I can't wait to get started!
I would love to make this but I can't get the free pattern download to work. email@example.com
I'm so sorry you're having trouble with the download. I've contacted Craftsy about this problem and hopefully we can get it sorted out soon. Until then, try this link: http://www.4shared.com/office/ZqvIQ3U6ba/MindlessScarf.html
unfortunately 4shared now makes you log in to download anything, and throws a popup at you for other files, generally speaking just annoys and confuses these days. So, I was not able to download the pattern from there. I received a notification from Craftsy saying it had updated, sadly they didn't fix the download button for it.
Thank you for letting me know! This frustrating, and hopefully Craftsy can get this fixed soon. If you send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org I will email the file to you.
Nicole, where do you get all your wonderful patterns? I love your bookmarkers and cute caps. You have a great eye for color. Also any tips for keeping the rows so even...I end up ripping out so often from adding on or dropping a stitch at the ends of rows.
Thank you so much! As for tips ... until you get a good feel to where your first/last stitch is, count on each row to be sure you have the correct number of stitches. Eventually you should be able to just know by sight that you are working into the correct number of stitches.
Super easy!! Finished in a few hours. Joined the ends and made it an infinity scarf!!!
Can't wait to try it this weekend!
Simple and Easy, love it!
They really need to make it so you can email the pattern creator! Not holding out any hope that my previous comment will be addressed!
I just emailed the designer to let her know that she is needed here. Her email address was in my email from Craftsy telling me what patterns that I downloaded. I'm thinking that she will be here soon.
Thank u much
I wish someone would rewrite the instructions in layman. These instructions are too confusing.
What is confusing? The abbreviations? You can email me with any questions.
I would like to apologize for the lack of communication. My family has been having a very rough few months and I haven't been focused on the site lately. I will try to address all questions as time permits. Again, I apologize. I'm not great at handling tragedy, unfortunately.
I enjoyed this pattern. The first time I wore mine someone noticed right away and asked for the pattern. I sent her your way. Love my scarf!
Love the stitch pattern, such beautiful texture!
I don't know I can't either and no one seems interested enough to help.
Ditto, I can't get to pattern instructions!
Be sure you are adding the pattern to your cart. Then from there you have to add it to your library. Then you can find it under "Your Account".
you have to log into Craftsy as I see it.. Mine worked perfectly, logged in and downloaded the pattern.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I can't get any of the patterns to download from this site. I know it's some little thing but I just can't get them to download from my account or my library. HELP!!!
If you are clicking on the PDF link from your library, if you have the free Adobe PDF Reader, it should download immediately. If not, go to the adobe.com site and download the proper version for your operating system. You should also check your popup blocker. If that is on, it may be preventing download too.Without more details on what happens when you click on the PDF download above the picture from your library, I'm not sure what is happening.Hope this helps.
What a lovely and relaxing pattern! And the sweet scalloped edge is just beautiful! My daughter has fallen in love with the scarf in progress and has begged me to crochet one for her! Thank you for sharing this "mindless one skein" gem with us!
I love this look; think i might use it for an afghan!
this would be cool for an afghan
LOL!! didnt see my comment down here so i re-did it!!
I can't seem to get the scarf to look anything like the picture. Not sure what I am doing wrong!
How is it not looking like the picture? What looks different about it?
I thought I was doing something wrong on the end, because I thought they were straight. I have 3-4 rows done. Im going to pull it out and start over. I really like the look of this pattern if I can get the edges right.
I too am having issues with this...mine keeps getting wider.
My scarf is kind of looking like a C. Is it supposed to be straight???
This pattern is addictive, I've made 2 scarves and a baby afghan thank you so much for sharing it with us
What size hook did you use???
Ok..I have a few questions: Do you (2dc, ch2, sc) in the ch 4 space on Row 1? Also, when you chain 3 and turn do you skip the first ch2 space? Do you (2dc, ch 2, sc) in the ch 3 spaces at the end of the row? It seems my scarf is wider than Row 1 and keeps getting wider. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I'm not the creator but when I did the pattern, I did not skip the first ch2 space. I did the (2dc, ch 2, sc) in each ch2 space of the previous row not in the ch3 space originally created at the end of each row.. Can't remember if I did that set in the ch4 space on row 1. If I do it again, I'll let you know. I hope this helps. Good luck!
Yes and yes. It will seem off at first, and this is probably the most common question I get. I have a set of pictures that I've used to show others, and hopefully they are of help.http://www.flickr.com/photos/nicoleross/7974094176 http://www.flickr.com/photos/nicoleross/7974090632 http://www.flickr.com/photos/nicoleross/7974087384
That was so nice of you to put each row, however mine does not look anything like that. LOL I'm not good with reading patterns, but arent we supposed to ship two chains? Yours looks close together. I'm willing to struggle, so that I can learn, but I'm stumped. Help>>
skip. I think it may have something to do with my hook size. Size I is not working. I'll try another. The hook in the picture looked like a large size hook.
I'm having the same issues as Plamberti. I would love to be able to get it! HELP!
