2nd place winner in Round 2 of the Battle of the Stitches!
Reminiscent of a straw hat, with the comfort of cotton, the Maui Beach Sunhat Ensemble will surely become a favorite summer wardrobe go-to. The triangle pattern of the hat is airy, while the brim is nice and thick - for ease of shaping and lots of shade. Versatility is also abounding in this set; the 3 separates can be worn 5 different ways:
1. hat alone
2. hat with sash
3. hat with flower clip
4. sash alone
5. flower clip alone
As a warm weather accessory pattern, this has all the perks you are looking for!
One of the unique features about this hat is that is is worked from the bottom-up! (with exception to the brim)
5 Triangle stitches = 3"
4 Triangle stitch rows (with 3 sc rows between) = 3"
90 yards of Worsted weight

I am a happily married work-at-home mom of 4 children. 3 are adults (did I just say that?) and my baby is a teen. I've always been crafty and creative. I learned basic crochet as a young girl. Didn't really pick it up again until I wanted to crochet for my babies. Then I took a LONG break while I was very into tole painting. Then technology entered the picture. I started up a graphic design business.. Suddenly, I felt the urge to crochet again and ended up opening my own crochet business at the end of 2009. I named it Harvester Products after the meaning of my name - Teresa. It really took off once I started making character hats in 2011. There is not a day that goes by without me crocheting. I am either working on orders or creating a new design. It's relaxing and fulfilling and I can't imagine ever NOT doing it!View all patterns by designer (17) »
