Pattern Description:
The Mason Hat is a fun, colorful hat with a "brickwork" or stained glass appearance. The hat can be customized in many ways, and is perfect for boys and girls of all ages. The pattern includes toddler, child and adult sizing. It is an easy pattern, and comes with photographs and color-coded instructions. You will need 2-3 colors of worsted weight yarn and an I hook to complete this project.

My name is Danyel. I am a former middle school math teacher, and now a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children. I am a proud military wife. I am a yarn addict. I'm originally from the suburbs of Chicago, and now I create patterns & crochet hats here in my home near Seattle.
I began crocheting in 2007 after a 15-year hiatus. My grandmother tried to teach me when I was little, but it wasn't until my mother-in-law sent me a how-to book and a crochet hook that I finally taught myself. At first, crocheting was something I did to keep my hands busy to keep from going crazy while I was pregnant. Now it's my passion. I truly love every stitch. The colors, the fibers, the textures, and even the SMELL of yarn are delightful! I taught myself to knit about 2 years ago, and am slowly adding more knitting patterns to my collection.
The name "CrazySocks" comes from an old e-mail address I used to have. I don't MAKE crazy socks... I wear them. When I opened my 1st shop in 2008, I didn't know that my username would also be my SHOP name (oops!) but I thought CrazySocks Crochet sounded fun, so I stuck with it... until I changed it to CrazySocks Designs when I learned to knit, too!
