Pattern Description:

This pattern provides instructions for making a choker style necklace featuring an oval, sew-on acrylic jewel as the centerpiece, with surrounding silver pearl beads.

This pattern is available in U.S. crochet terminology.

Gauge:

12 sc stitches = 2 inches
3 sc rows = 1/2 inch

Materials:

  • C (2.75 mm) hook
  • One spool (125 yards) size 3 Red Heart Fashion cotton thread in Black
  • Large eyed sewing needle for weaving in crochet thread ends
  • Sewing needle small enough to pass through pearl bead hole & black all-purpose sewing thread
  • Two 1/2 inch sew-on silver metal spacer beads
  • One silver lobster clasp with extension chain (chain and clasp are attached)
  • One 1 inch x 5/8 inch oval faceted acrylic sew-on jewel in purple or the color of your choice
  • Thirty-two 2 mm silver pearl beads
  • Straight pins
  • Round nose jewelry pliers: if you do not have one, a pair of tweezers will do
