Pattern Description:

Crochet your own extra-thick winter hat from my simple pattern. Made from two strands of yarn held together, it's sure to keep you warm and cozy all winter.

This is a great pattern for beginning crocheters! It uses only chain, single-, and double-crochet stitches and contains no abbreviations. This pattern is written in US crochet terms.

4 stitches = 2 inches in double crochet

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 22" around, and 9" tall when the brim is folded up 1 1/2"
  • will fit most adults and teens


  • K/10.5 (6.50mm) crochet hook
  • 300 yards worsted weight yarn -- 150 yards EACH in 2 colors or all 300 in one
