YARN: Lion Brand, Vanna's Choice; 100% acrylic; 100g/3.5oz, 156m/170yds; or
equivalent aran/heavy worsted (4) weight yarn

Gauge is very important for proper sizing of the hat. Please take the time to check for proper gauge and adjust yarn or hook size as necessary. Gauge checkpoints are given at various rounds.

I've been crocheting for a number of years now. I started out to find something to keep my hands busy while watching TV-better than snacking. I very quickly became addicted. When I found myself altering patterns I decided it was time to start designing my own. I began crocheting children's hats for Halos of Hope in 2010. They are a great organization that sends soft hats to chemo centers all over the USA. I hope my silly hats can bring some happiness to a child fighting a terrible disease.
