Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should be familiar with basic stitches (sc, hdc, dc, slst).

Pattern Description:

This giraffe hat is super adorable, either with or without eyes and a nose. The pattern includes instructions for circular patches as well as irregular circles (amoeba shaped). You can use bright, vivid colours to give it a vibrant look, or traditional "giraffe" colours. Add a ribbon or flower to the hat for an extra splash of whimsy and colour! Who can resist such a cute, irresistible giraffe?

The pattern includes the following sizes:
Newborn to 2 Months, 2 to 6 Months, 6 to 12 Months, 1 to 4 Years, 5 to 12 Years, Teen-Adult, Large Adult

Materials needed:
G (4mm), H (5mm), I (5.5mm) hooks
#4 (worsted / medium / 10-ply) yarn in brown, tan and gold-yellow
Buttons - 2 for eyes, 2 for nostrils
Yarn needle
Measuring tape

**Amount of yarn needed depends on size and style of hat (For example, a newborn beanie will use substantially less than an adult earflap)**
