Basic Skills Necessary:

  • ch, sl st, sc,
  • Lsc (long single crochet: a sc in a designated stitch in a row below the one you are currently working on)

Pattern Description:

I had used the flame stitch on a few occasions and it always made such an eye-pleasing design, I wanted to use it in a pattern. I needed a cover for my laptop, and it seemed like the perfect project for the stitch! While I don't think it is that difficult, it might be a bit confusing for a beginner working the long single crochet stitches down to create the pattern. I always get compliments on my case whenever I take it with me.
