This pattern began life when an online buddy of mine requested a "large, sturdy bag, with good handles, yet still girlie". The bag is felted, with double handles (sturdy), and comes in three different sizes so you can make the right size for you.
This was originally a crochetalong on my Ravelry group, for lots of inspiration please visit:
Use only 100% wool, NOT SUPERWASH, acrylic, cotton, etc., or the bag will NOT felt. Directions for felting are included.
Photos: brown shows the large version, long handles, using vintage fabric for the trim. Red shows the small version, short handles, with 1" wide ribbon for trim.
Thanks to Anne McFarland email@example.com for tech editing. Bag has been thoroughly tested.
9 sc and 10 rows=4"

My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item.
I’m a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week.
I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can.
All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations.
I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink.
You are free to sell any items made from my patterns at local craft fairs, donate to charity (I’d love to know where), auction off, etc.
