Learn to create your own Fair Isle colorwork hat. This pattern walks you through the process of creating a design and chart and using this chart as color-work for a beanie. Chart examples are provided if you need a little help before you start.
You will not be working in the Tapestry Crochet method (carrying the yarn inside the stitches) rather you will be "floating" the yarn behind your work in the Fair Isle crochet technique. This keeps the hat nice and stretchy. Written directions for this type of color-work is provided but you can learn more by goggling "Fair Isle Crochet Tutorials" for more information and videos.
Sizes include newborn to adult.
Materials Needed:
worsted weight yarn (medium weight #4) in at least two colors
crochet hook I (5.5mm)

I picked up crocheting to add crochet items to my Etsy shop, but have fallen in love with designing instead. I began making my own patterns almost instantly and am in the process of switching over from taking orders to making patterns.
I love to use different stitches to get all sorts of unique textures and looks.
